Following recent studies showing that Asian Schefflera should be treated under the separate genus Heptapleurum, the names for the
Thai species belonging to this genus are listed. Two new combinations are proposed for S. bengalensis and S. poomae. For two species
of Schefflera recognized, S. pueckleri and S. simulans, different epithets must be used under Heptapleurum, namely H. calyptratum
and H. affine.
