This research aimed to create prototype brass jewelry, by bringing the local
identity to the pattern in the molding of brass home jewelry. The researcher studied
the data from the brass casting process at Ban Phra Borom Chedi Handicraft Center,
Mueang District, Ubon Ratchathani Province, to apply the information to design
patterns that blend local patterns on brass jewelry in the process of brass forming. The
researcher conducted the research on four brass jewelry designs by using the local
identity to create the prototype product as an alternative to the development of the
normally produced brass jewelry. When the designer had created the prototype,
inquiries from the jewelry users were used to analyze the beauty, suitability to wear
and decorate the body. Inquiry was conducted by creating a questionnaire to survey
the opinions of users of brass jewelry for 100 samples.
The users of brass jewelry were very satisfied with the aesthetics, and the
appropriateness for wear as a body decoration. The average was 4.41, which was
considered to be very satisfied. So, it was shown that the prototype of the brass, as an
alternative to the brassware group could enhance the value of community products.
